New Year’s Resolution

I don’t really do the New Year’s resolution thing, but I think that I will try out the weblog opportunity. If this fails because I post too infrequently, then, I guess I will delete and get out of Dodge. This is just the beginning of the year, and I have no clue what God has in store for me. I am very interested in seeing what plays out. This blog will more than likely track the progress of my life across however long this lasts. I hope to use this outlet to keep a good overview of a portion of my life, so that I can easily look back over it when someone asks ‘how have you been since ___?’ I can simply direct them here and say ‘I hope you don’t mind reading.’ I don’t have any expectations for this, but enough friends have recommended having a way to share whatever random or helpful thoughts crop up in the ol’ noggin that I decided it couldn’t hurt to give it a try. I must admit that I have been skeptical of blogs since I found out about them. I even disagree with the term blog because it seems so lazy. I guess I have no room to speak. I shorten enough words without even thinking about it to be just as guilty(based on the colloquial conventions of Southern States).
